This book won the Children's Book Council of Australia Picture Book of the Year Award, 1983. 

 

The original edition of this book is probably more appropriate for children over the age of two, however this edition is a durable board book so would be appropriate for younger children, especially those that love animals! 

 

Pamela Allen was born in New Zealand and in 1977 moved to Sydney.
