by Annie O'Dowd
This is the third book in the seadog series.
Sea Gem's white fur sets her apart from her bothers and sisters, but not as much as her strange daydreams. Her lonely life changes forever when she finds a bottle washed up on Foamy Bay beach. Inside the greenish glass is a message from far away. A cry for help.
What happens next is a dangerous journey; a tale of lost seadogs, giant icebergs and a confrontation with the most menacing predator of the ice floes.
Sea Gem's search for the boy seadog on the note takes an unexpected turn for the worse. Will she be brave enough to reveal her secret before it's too late?
The seadog series is a winner of the APA Book Design Awards and was shortlisted for a Crichton Award for illustration.
Annie O'Dowd's seadogs were inspired by school holidays spent around Moreton Bay. She lives in Brisbane.
